Participate
There are two ways to take part in WITO's work.
Take part in our consultation
WITO is consulting organisations involved in building and operating the world's trust systems. The aim of this consultation process is to receive input to inform our inaugural strategic planning process.
What a conversation involves
A consultation takes the form of a semi-structured interview of 30 to 60 minutes, held remotely or in person. Results from the consultation will be published in a report in 2027. Participants can choose to be named in that report.
For more details and a list of questions, see our issue paper: Trust Infrastructure for the Economy of the Future.
Who WITO is speaking with
- national digital-identity and trust-service operators
- product-trust, traceability, and provenance schemes
- testing, certification, and accreditation bodies
- standards and framework bodies
- regulators and public authorities
- industry associations and civil society organisations
- research institutes
WITO is particularly interested in engaging with stakeholders from developing countries and from regions underrepresented in international standards and governance.

Become a Founding Member
WITO is seeking organisations and individuals to join as Founding Members. Founding Members are members of the General Assembly, and will play a critical role in shaping the future direction of WITO by supporting the following activities:
- Establishing a three-year strategic plan for the organisation that sets WITO's initial priorities, milestones, and areas of focus.
- Creating core policies and membership classes that define how organisations and individuals participate, what responsibilities members hold, and how WITO remains open, neutral, and non-commercial.
- Establishing key governance roles within the Board and General Assembly so that decision-making, oversight, and member participation are aligned with WITO's public-interest purpose.
