The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and integrates no third-party services. It is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs the IP address of every visitor to a GitHub Pages site for security purposes, whether or not the visitor holds a GitHub account. WITO has no access to those logs and does not receive that data. GitHub acts in its own right in respect of it.

The contact form does not submit to this site. It opens a message in your own mail application, addressed to WITO.

What WITO collects, and why

Correspondence. What you choose to send when you write to WITO, in order to reply. Kept as long as the matter is live, then deleted.

Consultation. Name, organisation, role, country, preferred language, and the substance of the conversation, in order to compare views across participants and publish findings. Kept for the duration of the research programme and its publications. No organisation or individual is named without consent.

Membership. The details a member gives on applying, in order to administer membership. Where WITO is required to maintain a list of members, each member's details are kept for five years after removal from the list, as article 61a of the Swiss Civil Code requires.

WITO does not sell personal data and discloses it to no one except where the law requires.

Your rights

You may ask WITO to confirm what it holds about you, to give you a copy, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to robin@2rstrategy.ca. WITO answers within thirty days. Deletion may be limited where the law requires a record to be kept.
